Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about what we do
Teens 4 Good, a program of the Federation of Neighborhood Centers, is a youth entrepreneurship produce and nutrition business that transforms vacant lots into urban gardens/farms, improving access to healthy food for communities, creating meaningful jobs for at-risk youth and empowering youth to become healthy responsible young adults and leaders who give back to their communities.
Teens 4 Good fosters creativity through converting negative, blighted vacant lots into positive urban green spaces which add beauty to the neighborhood, and uplifts the pride and self-confidence of teens through their own work and accomplishments. Teens 4 Good's vision will be realized by continuing our efforts to build additional multi-purpose green spaces that will incorporate urban farming, interactive, hands-on science and entrepreneurship education, art, meditation and community building events. Teens 4 Good will implement the idea of cleaning vacant spaces to build new gardens with the city's youth, teach the basics of gardening and horticulture and business soft-skills to benefit all partnerships involved.
Our Mission:
Our mission is to make a difference in the world by inspiring teens to do something positive for their communities. Teens were put in this world for a reason, and we are here to help them find that reason. We give teens a taste of today's business world through hands-on entrepreneurial experiences that compliment lessons in health, business, and agriculture. We help teens realize that they have the power to create their future. Through these experiences, teens become healthy, responsible young adults and leaders who give back to the community.
